Nap time creativity from the kitchen table

Hi, I’m Rebecca… I started making art journals at my kitchen table during tiny pockets of time while my children napped - sometimes that was only for fifteen minutes.

Fragments of Time is designed for real life.

It brings together the techniques, processes, and mindset shifts that have helped me build a creative practice that feels flexible, joyful, and sustainable.

This is a chance to make something that is entirely your own - something you can dip in and out of whenever a gap in your day appears.

A place to build intentional habits

Fragments of Time helps you notice the small things in everyday life. Even 15 minutes can feel enough.

Your art journal becomes a place to return to - a simple, hands-on way to create without reaching for your phone.

Through small pockets of time, you can build creative habits and make more art alongside everyday life.

You don’t need to be an experienced artist to enjoy this course.

  • This is for you if you love photography, collage, sketchbooks or art journaling.

  • If you want to create more consistently without needing huge amounts of time or a dedicated studio space (I create at my kitchen table!).

  • If you’ve got hundreds of photos on your phone waiting to be used (don’t worry if you haven’t, I’ll share mine with you).

  • And if you’re looking for a more intuitive, less perfection-focused approach to creativity.

Creativity doesn’t have to wait for the “perfect” time.

Your everyday life already holds material worth noticing: photos, memories, colour, scraps, stories, fleeting moments.

This course is an invitation to gather them together and turn them into something you can hold in your hands.

  • Yes it is. This is a completely new course with new techniques and approaches. It is different to the classes I have taught in Fodder School and my previous course Playful Pages. If you’ve taken one of my previous classes this is a great follow up - but equally it stands alone so no prior experience is needed.

  • No problem, e-mail rebecca@rebeccachapmanart.com or pop a question in the optional private Facebook group (details on how to join the group are in the classroom). If you decide that this isn’t the rifght course for you, get in touch within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

  • Now we’re onto the fun bit! All of the materials used in the course can be found here. Please don’t feel any pressure to use exactly the same things as I do - use what you have before going shopping!

  • That’s ok - in the classroom you’ll find my images that you can use to get you started.

  • Great class! You really have the eye, Rebecca… and such helpful small tips, your style is very fresh and free, which is friendly and inspiring to me in its own way. Thank you so much.

  • Loved this— so free and fun, and using photos (which we all have a ton of!), and scraps (which we also have a ton of), plus getting in some free drawing AND working in a series! Thanks so much, Rebecca… I’m off to play!
